Rules for the participation prize draw
As a token of our thanks, we will hold a draw for one hundred $50 VISA prepaid card prizes. The draw will be held among all participants who provided their email addresses and completed the survey in full.
1. Draw entrants must
- Be between 15 and 19 years old
- Be Canadian residents
- Have agreed to participate in the Chaire RBC en innovations financières project on the financial literacy of the youth aged 15 to 19 and accepted the terms and signed the consent form
- Have completed the online questionnaire
- Have agreed to provide a valid email address in order to be contacted if they win a participation prize
2. Where to drop off or send draw entries
- Participation in the study and submission of draw entries will be online.
- Participants must submit their contest entries online only, immediately upon answering the final question of the survey
- Participants will not have other opportunities to submit their entries. They must do so immediately after completing the online questionnaire
3. Draw entry deadline
- The survey participation and draw entry period will run for one month, starting at 12:01 a.m. on November 1, 2025, and ending at 11:59 p.m. on November 30, 2025
- After this period, it will be impossible to participate in the project and in the draw
4. Description of method for awarding prizes, number of prizes, detailed description of prizes, and value
- Prizes will be awarded by random draw from among all entries duly completed and submitted by study participants
- The method for awarding prizes in the promotional contest will be such that each entrant has the same odds of winning a prize
- Draws will be held in the presence of 3 witnesses, including some members of the Chaire RBC en innovations financières Steering Committee
- 50 prizes will be awarded
- Detailed description: One $100 50 winners. A prepaid card is a card whose balance is reduced with each use by its user until the balance is zero. It has no expiry date
- A total of $5,000 will be awarded in the draw in the form of 50 prizes worth $100 each
5. Location, date, and time of winner declarations
- The draws will be held on January 30, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Université Laval’s Palasis-Prince Building, which is home to the Faculty of Business Administration
6. Media used to notify prize winners
- Personal contact via email or phone provided by participants
- Chaire RBC en innovations financières website – List of winners will be presented
7. Location and deadline for winners to claim prizes or, as the case may be, deadline for prizes to be sent to winners:
- The 50 draw winners will be contacted soon after the draw to collect their mailing addresses in order to send them their prizes. Winners will have a full month to provide their postal address and answer to the Winner Test. A reminder will be sent after 2 weeks to those who didn’t reply to our email.
- The Chaire RBC en innovations financières will mail the prizes to the winners who have claimed their prize by 4 p.m. on March 15, 2026
8. List of those excluded from the draw in all cases
- Anyone for whose benefit the draw is being held, their employees, representatives, agents, and jury members and anyone with whom such employees, representatives, agents, and jury members reside are excluded from the draw
9. Test winners must pass to receive their prize
- The winners must correctly answer the following test: 2+5-4
10. The draw cannot be changed once it has been publicly launched unless fortuitous events or force majeure or if it considers that the public will not be adversely affected by the change
11. The prize winner declaration date, contest entries, and other supporting documents used to verify the proper conduct of this draw will be held for 120 days after the random draw to select winners, that is May 30, 2026
