La Chaire Stephen-A.-Jarislowsky en gestion des affaires internationales de l’Université Laval vous convie à un webinaire ayant pour thème: Les bouleversements politiques en Asie du Sud et leurs implications géostratégiques
L'Asie du Sud, qui abrite 25% de la population mondiale et deux nations dotées de l'arme nucléaire, est une région très diversifiée en termes de culture, de langue et de religion. Parmi les huit membres de l'Association sud-asiatique de coopération régionale (ASACR), sept ont connu récemment des changements politiques qui ont entraîné des répercussions sur la coopération, la concurrence et la rivalité intrarégionales et interrégionales. Ce webinaire se concentrera sur la dynamique politique actuelle en Asie du Sud et sur la manière dont cette dynamique affecte les relations intrarégionales et les relations internationales avec la Chine, les régions indo-pacifiques, la Russie, le Moyen-Orient et les États-Unis.
Les conférences seront présentées en anglais.

Dr. Taj Hashmi
Dr. Taj Hashmi has a PhD in Modern South Asian History from the University of Western Australia. He teaches security studies at Austin Peay State University at Clarksville, Tennessee, USA. Prior to this, he taught Islamic and Modern South Asian History and Cultural Anthropology at various universities in Bangladesh, Australia, Singapore and Canada. He has also worked for four years as a professor of Security Studies at the US Department of Defense, College of Security Studies at the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies in Honolulu, USA. He is a regular commentator on current affairs and global conflicts in the print and electronic media. He is a fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland. He was a visiting fellow at the Centre of International Studies, Oxford University, and a fellow at the National Centre for South Asian Studies, Monash University. He is on the editorial board of two international journals: the Contemporary South Asia and the Journal of South Asian Studies.
Dr. Sreeradha Datta
Dr. Sreeradha Datta is a Professor at the Jindal School of International Affairs, O.P. Jindal Global University and a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at ISAS-NUS. Singapore. She was earlier headed the Neighbourhood Studies Centre of the Vivekananda International Foundation. With a PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India, she has been director at Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Institute of Asian Studies, Kolkata and held fellowships with Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses, among other institutions. Her research interests include India’s foreign policy, regionalism and cross-border issues. She published many books and over 150 articles in journals, edited volumes, newspapers and academic websites. Amongst other distinctions, she has been recipient of international fellowships including at German Institute of Global Affairs, Distinguished Indian Scholar Series University of Taiwan, International Leadership Visitors Programme, at USA, awarded the Shelton Kodikara Award for South Asian Strategic Studies.
Muhammad Mohiuddin
Dr. Muhammad Mohiuddin is an Associate professor of international business at Laval University, Quebec, Canada. His main research interests are on geo-strategy and geo-economy of South and South-East Asian regions, global value chain and sustainability, Industry 4.0, Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). His research has been published in many journals. He is currently Co-managing editor of Transnational Corporations Review. He is a member of the Board of directors of the Canadian council on small business and entrepreneurship (CCSBE).
